Mark Sanchez Reportedly Throwing With Good Velocity
(2/22 12:5 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on what's becoming a seemingly endless saga. ... Sanchez’s future with the Jets remains uncertain, but all indications are that his surgically repaired throwing shoulder won’t preclude him from finding a new home if he hits the open market. Sanchez is throwing with “good velocity” in Southern California four months after going under the knife, according to a source familiar with the quarterback’s rehab program.  Reported by the New York Daily News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
General manager John Idzik and Rex Ryan wouldn’t confirm on Thursday whether Sanchez had even started throwing yet, but Daily News staffer Manish Mehta has learned that Sanchez is able to make downfield throws at this point as he makes his way back from the season-ending surgery suffered in the third week of the preseason. It’s a good sign for Sanchez, who has a $13.1 million salary cap charge in 2014 and is expected to be released before his $2 million roster is due in late March. A recent report suggested Sanchez would be a sought-after commodity upon release.
