The Facts:
The Dolphins will bring the former Steeler backup on for a visit Tuesday as they try to find someone to fill the same role after losing Gus Frerotte to the St. Louis Rams. Agent Vann McElroy said Maddox has received interest from the Raiders and Bengals, but the Dolphins' situation might be the most intriguing because of Maddox's relationship with new OC Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mularkey had the same job for three seasons in Pittsburgh when Maddox helped lead the Steelers to the playoffs in 2002. Besides Maddox, the most prominent free agent quarterbacks are Kerry Collins, who was released by Oakland, and Aaron Brooks, who was let go by the Saints. In addition, Detroit is expected to trade or release former first-round pick Joey Harrington.
