The Facts:
Washington has played under Ken Whisenhunt and looks forward to doing so again. But the nine-year veteran understands there are no guarantees. If the Titans are looking for more money in free agency, cutting Washington would provide $4.8 million in cap relief.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Though Washington appears likely to return next season after posting the second-most productive year of his career in 2013 -- 58 catches, 919 yards, 15.8-yard average, three touchdowns -- he knows there's still a chance he could become a salary-cap casualty. That would be a big disappointment to Washington, who was with the Steelers for two of Whisenhunt’s three seasons (2004-06) as their offensive coordinator. “I think he loves me and I love that guy,” Washington said recently. “But it's a business." Washington played very sparingly as a rookie in 2005, making just one catch — in the AFC Championship game. But the undrafted free agent took a big step forward in his second year under Whisenhunt with 35 catches for 624 yards (17.8 average) and four touchdowns. Now Washington hopes he’s still what the Titans are looking for in 2014.
