New OC Will Cater Offense To Eli Manning's Strengths
(2/28 12:16 PT)

The Facts:
New Giants OC Ben McAdoo plan is simple yet complex. He wants the marry the best of the Packers’ West Coast offense with the Giants’ current scheme, one that has served them well en route to a pair of Super Bowls. While admitting that uncertainty abounds with regards to the team's offensive personnel, McAdoo said he plans to be flexible enough to work with whatever the final roster makeup will be. He had high praise for Manning and vowed to cater the offense towards his strengths.  Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McAdoo, 36, said flexibility will be a key as he builds his offense without knowing exactly what all pieces will be and who’ll fit where. He said he plans to incorporate the screen game and has high hopes for the tight end position among other things. He also wants to get the running game uncorked. McAdoo said he first met Manning at the Pro Bowl last season and “came away with a great impression of him.” He said he had always admired him from afar. The two have spoken recently and McAdoo said Manning will have input on the final product. “As Eli gets his hands on it and has a chance to get comfortable with it, we’ll make tweaks here and there,” said McAdoo. Manning threw a career-high 27 interceptions and was sacked 39 times last season. McAdoo said getting back to the fundamentals and taking care of the football will be the keys to getting him back on track. We'll suggest better protection should be the focus.
