Kenny Britt Still Believes In Himself; That Doesn't Mean You Should
(2/28 3:4 PT)

The Facts:
Once mentioned in the same breath as Calvin Johnson, Britt is coming off a season pockmarked with drops, missed blocks, penalties and mental mistakes. His game film was as shoddy as any wide receiver's in the NFL. Still just 25 years old, though, Britt has been confident that he will turn his stalled career around. "I am going to be a No. 1 receiver somewhere else if I am not here next year, and that is guaranteed," Britt told The Tennessean at the end of the season. "I am definitely going to be a receiver that makes plays on Sundays and makes something happen for a team." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Teammate Nate Washington, who stays in regular contact with Britt, insists the one-time knucklehead has made "tremendous strides" off the field. "I'm pretty sure when he gets that opportunity again, he'll seize it," Washington said. "We all make mistakes, big or small, but all you can do is look forward to tomorrow. That's what he's doing, moving on and being a better man to his wife and his kids. ..." That sounds good. But Britt's inability to get the job done on the field means he has plenty to prove. Somebody will take a chance on him, but between his surgically-repaired knees and failure to produce last season, fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited.
