The Facts:
The Vikings announced Thursday that they have released Childs and defensive tackle Letroy Guion.  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Childs has continued working to return to the field after tearing both of his patellar tendons in both of his knees in August of 2012, but if he makes it back it will be with someone other than the Vikings. Childs was a rookie when he suffered the dual knee injuries and suffered a previous patellar tendon injury while at Arkansas, leaving the former fourth-round pick with long odds of ever playing in an NFL game. This development doesn't help his cause.
