The NFL Network reported last week that the Patriots cannot use the June 1 cut on Amendola because he automatically receives his bonus on Tuesday, the first day of the league year (and the first day Amendola could be cut), but that’s not quite accurate, according to Globe staffer Ben Volin. The league year begins at 4 p.m., and the Patriots will have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to decide whether or not to keep Amendola.
