Giants Re-Sign Peyton Hillis
(3/11 9:48 PT)

The Facts:
According to New York Daily News staffer Ralph Vacchiano, the Giants have re-signed Hillis, giving the veteran RB a two year deal worth $1.8 million. Reported by FootballDiehards.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Giants signed Hillis off the street in October after a rash of injuries made their running back situation as desperate as any in the league. He carried the ball 73 times for 247 yards and two touchdowns in seven games, impressing quarterback Eli Manning and the coaches with his physical style and his ability to help in the passing game. The Giants' projected starters at running back last year were Andre Brown and David Wilson, both of whom missed significant time because of injuries. Brown is a free agent and Wilson is recovering from neck surgery, so the Giants will continue to look for a running back they can count on as a starter. But they do need depth at the position, and re-signing Hillis helps with that.
