While Brooks may be the favorite to become the next QB of the Raiders based on his arrival in town Monday night, the club was reportedly working behind the scenes to explore other options in case it doesn't work out. Brooks was to meet with team officials today.

If either Brooks or the Raiders decides a union won't work, the Raiders have reportedly been in contact with the agents for former Bucs quarterback Brian Griese and former Steelers quarterback Tommy Maddox. The Raiders are also watching the status of Detroit's Joey Harrington closely.
