As was rumored and reported on Monday, McCoy today signed a one-year deal to remain with the Seahawks.

McCoy, who played in every game in 2011 and 2012 with 14 starts, missed the 2013 season with an Achilles injury suffered in late May. McCoy said he’s excited to join what he said will be a “great” competition at tight end with starter Zach Miller and 2013 rookie Luke Willson also set to return and the team also likely to add another body, having already signed free agent Travis Beckum.
