Daniels, 31, was
released a week ago after the Texans decided they did not want to rework his contract. He immediately became a free agent and a number of teams have contacted him. Green Bay is his first visit. The Packers have not said publicly whether they are willing to clear tight end Jermichael Finley from neck fusioon surgery and Andrew Quarless is an unrestricted free agent. At his best, Daniels has been a very good down-the-field receiver. Of his 385 career receptions, 56 have been for 20 or more yards and 29 have been for touchdowns. How much the Packers are willing to pay Daniels may depend on what happens with Quarless. If Quarless leaves, there will be more pressure on them to fill the position.
