Browns Sign TE Jim Dray Away From Cardinals
(3/13 7:19 PT)

The Facts:
The Browns are teeming with tight ends after Dray signed a three-year, $5.62 million contract with $2.25 million in the first season, according to multiple reports. The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder gives the Browns six on the roster led by Pro Bowler Jordan Cameron. Reported by the Cleveland Plain Dealer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Plain Dealer staffer Tom Reed suggested, with names such Ben Tate and Julian Edelman being linked to their team, you can excuse Browns’ fans for not hopping on table tops over news of Dray’s free-agent signing. The addition of blocking tight ends rarely elicits much excitement from any team’s supporters. The fifth-year veteran sounded at peace with that knowledge Thursday. Asked if he minded being labeled a “blocking tight end,” Dray took no offense. “I enjoy blocking,” the former Cardinal said. “That's traditionally what the tight ends are used for. I can also catch balls when they are thrown to me. It doesn't bother me.” Dray enjoyed a career year last season, starting 15 games and registering 26 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns. ... Fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited, however.
