The Facts:
Smith, the veteran wide receiver who was
released by the Panthers Thursday, already has one visit set up: Baltimore, where Smith
will meet with the Ravens today. But Smith apparently does not expect to sign right away. Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports that Smith is planning to make other visits next week.

We'll see. Reports indicate the Ravens will make a real push to land Smith and if the money is right those other planned visits might go by the wayside. Unless one of those teams he plans to visit next week is in the NFC South. Because the only thing that might matter more to Smith, who promised “blood and guts everywhere” when he plays against Carolina, than a great offer would be a chance to play the Panthers twice a year going forward. ...
