Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Starks was scheduled to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers and had interest from two other teams, but the Packers kept tabs on the back-up running back all along. So now, he's back with the Packers. Through hamstring, toe and knee injuries, the 2010 seventh-round pick has been a rugged, productive back in Green Bay. When healthy, he's a decisive, slashing runner Mike McCarthy values. As Journal-Sentinel staffer Tyler Dunne notes, the mashing Eddie Lacy coupled with the explosive Starks formed a dangerous tandem at times last season. Starks had a string of long runs in his complementary role last season, jetting for gains of 20, 25, 32, 32, 34 and 41 yards. Surely, Green Bay is aware of the physical toll Lacy's running style takes.
