ongoing story. ... HC Chip Kelly has reportedly called Jackson and told him not to worry about the intensifying trade rumors according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News.

As the Redzone.org recounted it, the problems started just after the Eagles' home playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints, when Jackson hinted that he deserves a new contract only one year after signing a blockbuster $47 million deal. Then came the re-signing of wideouts Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper and whispers that Jackson was not a good fit in the locker room or in Kelly's offensive scheme. That last notion doesn't fit Jackson's production last year, however. And as the Redzone further contends, Kelly loves offensive playmakers. So while nobody will deny Jackson is a bit of a diva, he’s s productive diva. And as long as that's the case, his antics aren't all that horrible. That said, there's an awful lot of smoke here. We'll continue to watch for more.
