Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mariani spent the last two years on injured reserve with a broken leg in 2012 and a shoulder injury in 2013. He played in 32 games during his first two seasons in the NFL with the Titans. He earned Pro Bowl honors as a kick returner as a rookie in 2010. For his career, he has scored three return touchdowns (2 punts/1 kickoff), registered an 11.2-yard punt return average and a 24.8-yard kickoff average. Additionally as a receiver, he has posted five career receptions for 24 yards. His 2010 kick return total (1,859 yards on punts and kickoffs) set a franchise record, breaking Derrick Mason’s previous mark from 2000. Fantasy football owners shouldn't expect much beyond the return work.
