previously noted, the Texans appear to be setting the plate for Matt Schaub's departure -- whether it comes via trade or release. Schaub it due $10 million in salary this year, so any team trading for him would be on the hook for that salary (making it safe to assume the two teams most interested, Cleveland and Oakland, will be waiting for his release). Meanwhile, the Texans secured a competent backup for whoever their starter turns out to be. Case Keenum is one option; a player not yet on the roster is the more likely option.
