Despite putting up solid numbers a year ago, Moreno didn’t have any other reported visits before his trip to Miami. Players became available on the free-agent market nearly two weeks ago. As Post staffer Andrew Abramson understated, Moreno might have benefited last year from playing in the league’s top-rated offense. While Moreno is much more productive in the passing game than Lamar Miller or Daniel Thomas, Moreno wasn’t better than Miami’s current backs in some facets of the run game. Abramson added if the Dolphins don’t sign a running back they might search for one in the mid rounds of the NFL Draft.
