And there’s suspicion in league circles that one or more of the identified teams actually aren’t interested in Jackson -- and that the Eagles are leaking embellished and/or fabricated information about interest in order to build a trade market for Jackson.

Teams reportedly interested in Jackson include the Patriots, 49ers, Jets, Seahawks, and Panthers. As PFT's Mike Florio notes, the strategy, if it’s indeed happening, doesn’t seem to be working. Despite the reports of interested teams, no one seems to be willing to pick up the $10.5 million salary for Jackson in 2014. And, as Florio further suggested, Jackson may not be inclined to take less money to facilitate a trade. If the Eagles can’t find a trade partner during the next few days in Orlando for the annual league meetings, the only alternative may be cutting him loose. ... Stay tuned
