Harbaugh Dismisses Talk Of Perceived Rift Between HC, GM
(3/24 12:31 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... Jim Harbaugh told NFL Network's Steve Wyche on Sunday that the perceived controversy between himself and general manager Trent Baalke, including reported trade talks with the Browns, was poppycock. "There was zero chance of me leaving the San Francisco 49ers," Harbaugh said. "Because I love to coach my team too much. It's a joy to coach my team. I love my players, I love our coaches and I love the organization that I serve. That story has been reported." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Baalke told CSN Bay Area on Sunday that the controversy has been completely contrived and the coach and GM have a good relationship. "Jim and I work very well together," Baalke said. "I think a lot of that is media-driven. A lot of it is speculation. Maybe it's the desires of others that we don't work well together, but that's not the case internally." As for Harbaugh, he isn't giving the belief that he and Baalke have a strained relationship a second thought. "It wasn't my first mini-controversy," Harbaugh said. "I treat mini-controversies with the respect they deserve. ..." Which is apparently not much.
