Vanderjagt visited the Cowboys on Wednesday. Second-year veteran Shaun Suisham is the only kicker on the Cowboys roster. Suisham made 3 of 4 field-goal attempts as a rookie in 2005, but none longer than 30 yards.

A former Pro Bowler, Vanderjagt played the past eight seasons with the Colts, who allowed him to leave as an unrestricted free agent. The Cowboys have a serious need at the position; Suisham was one of three kickers the Cowboys used last season. The other two were Billy Cundiff and Jose Cortez. They were also interested in Adam Vinatieri, the former Patriot who will replace Vanderjagt in Indy.
