Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McCarthy said he felt "great respect and admiration" for the 28-year-old journeyman who played in five games for the Packers after being released by both the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills during a rocky sixth season in the NFL. Flynn finished 2-2-1 in place of the injured Rodgers, exhibiting streaky play from wire to wire. The Packers are fond of Flynn because he knows McCarthy's offense well after a previous stint with the team from 2008-11. The coach also told reporters he'd like to keep three passers on the 53-man roster come September, presumably good news for under-contract Scott Tolzien.
