The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... On Monday, it looked/felt/smelled/tasted like the Jackson camp was pushing the idea of two “mystery teams” in “deep negotiations” with the player. And it looked/felt/smelled/tasted like the team was putting out the idea that they won’t overpay — and that Jackson wants $9 million or $10 million per year. Now, it seems Jackson’s camp is putting out the idea that it’s a done deal in D.C. If that report gains traction, the Redskins will have to blink, eventually. And so the Redskins predictably are putting out the idea that it’s not a done deal in D.C.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio added: "The dance will continue, unless and until a deal really is done. Or unless and until Jackson decides to leave D.C. and take another visit. ..." Meanwhile, NFL.com's Albert Breer tweeted a short time ago that Jackson's out to breakfast now with Redskins officials. After that, they'll head to Redskins Park. "Obviously," Breer added, "(the) mutual interest is strong. ..." ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the same, suggesting that a deal could get done later today, but nothing should be assumed until it's official. ... So stay tuned.
