The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Cone is set to sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to his agent Mark Clouser.
Reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Cone has worked out for Carolina and was set to work out for the New York Giants on Friday. The Falcons signed Cone, who went undrafted in 2011, after reportedly running the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds at Georgia Tech’s pro day. Cone made the practice squad and was added to the active roster in Dec. 2011. In 2012, Cone was active for 12 games but did not play any offensive snaps. Last season, despite a rash of injuries, Cone couldn’t crack the lineup and saw Darius Johnson past him on the depth chart. Overall, he played in 28 games, mostly on special teams. He had one career catch for 12 yards. ... Cone's signing comes shortly after a report that former Texans WR Lestar Jean
will also visit Miami.
