The Packers opened their off-season workout program Monday with possibly record attendance, but wide receiver Javon Walker was notable by his absence. Walker has one year left on his contract but has demanded a trade.

A source told the Journal Sentinel that Walker has hired a real-estate agent and will have his Green Bay home up for sale by Tuesday. Walker's parents are due in the area soon to help him empty the home of his belongings. Walker has said that he would rather retire than play a fifth season for the Packers, who publicly say they won't trade him. ... Stay tuned. We haven't heard the last of this one.
