The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Daniels passed a physical Friday and signed his one-year contract with Baltimore. "Just couldn’t be more happy, more excited. … I guarantee his role will be plenty big,” HC John Harbaugh said. “He’s going to have a lot to do with our success next year, and we’ve got a lot of big plans for him.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Current Ravens TE coach Brian Pariani was Daniels’ tight ends coach during his eight seasons with the Texans. New Ravens OC Gary Kubiak was the head coach. And now, the Ravens expect Daniels to be a similar type of weapon for them that he was under Pariani and Kubiak in Houston. Kubiak’s offense with the Texans featured a lot of two-tight end sets. With Daniels now in the mix to go along with Dennis Pitta, Daniels said to “look for more of that in the future.” One of the Ravens’ top priorities entering this offseason was to add weapons in the passing game for Joe Flacco. And during the last month-plus, the team has
re-signed Pitta,
re-signed wide receiver Jacoby Jones,
signed former Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith and now have a former Pro Bowl tight end in Daniels as well. They also still have wide receiver Torrey Smith, who had 1,128 yards last year, as well as 6-4 wide receiver Marlon Brown, who caught a team-high seven touchdowns as a rookie last season and who will
battle for a similar role this year. All in all, good news for fantasy football owners.
