Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Avant became a free agent when the Eagles released him March 4 after eight seasons with the team. Drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2006 draft out of Michigan, the 6-2, 210-pound Avant ranks 11th in Eagles history with 297 receptions and 13th with 3,646 yards. Avant caught 50-plus passes for three consecutive seasons before catching 38 last season. Avant and fellow newcomers Jerricho Cotchery and Tiquan Underwood are by far the most experience wideouts on the roster now.
