Troy Brown To Remain A Patriot
(3/24 8:32 PT)

The Facts:
The Patriots last night were on the verge of re-signing Brown to a one-year contract to keep him in New England for a 14th season. His signing comes after Brown, who turns 35 in July, admitted in a recent interview he was contemplating retirement. The deal should be consummated today. Reported by the Boston Herald

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Brown, who has provided the team with depth in the defensive secondary in recent seasons, is the team’s second-leading career receiver. He needs just 21 receptions to pass Stanley Morgan for first with 534. He would be the first veteran to re-sign following the departures of Willie McGinest, David Givens and Adam Vinatieri.
