The Facts:
Three weeks after the Packers re-signed Ahman Green, the club agreed to terms on a new contract with Davenport, Green's backup each of the past two seasons. Davenport will sign a one-year contract, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Saturday afternoon. "Najeh will be in Green Bay Sunday night and he'll sign the contract Monday," Rosenhaus said.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Davenport took over as starter after Green was hurt last season and rushed 12 times for 54 yards and two touchdowns before breaking his ankle in his first start. Rosenhaus said Davenport was "making headway" in his rehabilitation but that it would be more appropriate for Packers officials to comment on when he would be full-strength. ... Assuming he's healthy, Davenport bumps Samkon Gado back to third on the depth chart.
