The Facts:
After missing the 2005 season, Johnson is back on his feet and reports the plantar fascia tear is fully healed. The five-year veteran out of Yale is easing himself into the team's voluntary conditioning program and said he hopes to be at full speed, including running pass routes, by the second week of April.

With Johnson out of the lineup last season, 49er TEs combined for just 17 catches for 137 yards and no TDs as the team's passing offense finished last in the league in yards gained. ... Johnson, on the other hand, had 162 yards in one game alone in 2004, the year in which he set club records for catches and receiving yards for a TE. ... It's worth noting that team officials will still consider a TE on draft day due to the depth of talent available at the position.
