Schifino, who played 14 games during his three seasons with Tennessee, signed with New England as a free agent last Jan. 6. He was released prior to the start of the regular season and remained unemployed throughout the 2005 season. Schifino has struggled with persistent hamstring problems since turning pro, has great size (6-1, 208) and speed (low 4.4s), and an abundance of raw talent.
