The Packers claimed Rayner off waivers from the Colts, according to an NFL source. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Rayner kicked off 82 times for the Colts and averaged 61.5 yards per kick. He had just one touchback. Opponents averaged 22.3 yards per return on his kickoffs.

Rayner was a sixth-round pick out of Michigan State who spent 14 games on the Colts' roster last season. He missed on his only field-goal attempt, a 59-yarder against the San Diego Chargers. He will compete with Billy Cundiff for a roster spot -- unless the team adds another more proven veteran to the mix.
