The Facts:
Davis joined the Bills hoping to earn a backup spot behind Eric Moulds and Lee Evans. But with Moulds being traded to Houston, Davis suddenly has a shot to win a starting job. Davis and Josh Reed are rotating at the "Z" or flanker position in mini-camp. Evans was moved to the "X" receiver or split end, where Moulds used to play.

"I guess timing is everything," Davis said. "I landed in a great situation here. ..." It would appear so. Still, Davis will have to beat out Reed to earn a starting role. Sam Aiken and Roscoe Parrish are also in the mix, although Parrish is probably better suited to working out of the slot in 3-receiver sets.
