Harrington decided Wednesday he plans to spend his future with the Dolphins, although he has not yet been officially released or traded from the Lions. The Dolphins are offering a sixth-round pick in 2007, a source said. Another source close to Harrington said the Lions are expected to accept the offer, with the deal becoming final before next week's draft.

According to Profootballtalk.com, Harrington's declaration of allegiance to Miami was brought on by concern the Broncos might try trading for him. ... Should a deal be finalized with the Dolphins, Harrington could potentially start the season’s first game Sept. 7 against Pittsburgh -- depending on the continued progress of Daunte Culpepper’s surgically repaired knee.
