The Facts:
Adding another veteran player at a position where Jon Gruden always likes to have depth, the Bucs have reached a contract agreement with Sowell, a nine-year veteran who was released by the Jets two months ago for salary cap reasons. Financial details of the new deal weren't released.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Outside of 1998, when he had a career-best 40 carries, Sowell never posted more than four attempts in a season and has just one career TD run. But he has pulled in 147 passes for 1,188 yards with five touchdowns during his tenure with the Jets. In addition to being a solid receiver, he's an effective lead blocker who will provide experienced depth behind Mike Alstott.
