According to News Tribune beat man Mike Sando, Wallace's re-signing was pretty much a given after the passing of an April 21 deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other teams. ... At this point, it appears he'll continue to serve as Matt Hasselbeck's backup -- a role that precludes coaches from using him as a receiver.
