The Broncos acquired Walker from the Packers in exchange for their second-round pick -- the 37th overall -- in the 2006 Draft. Reported by FootballDiehards.com

It didn't take long for GM Ted Thompson's talk that trading Walker was unlikely -- due in part to his desire for a first-round pick -- to go by the wayside. Walker, who visited and took a physical in Denver on Friday, apparently proved his surgically-repaired right knee is in good enough shape not to scare the Broncos away. Denver beat out the Saints, Patriots and Eagles to secure the former first-round pick's services. ... Stay tuned. We'll have more on this move in coming days.
