The Facts:
There were mixed signals as to whether a deal with McNair could be reached in the near future. GM Floyd Reese, who said Sunday night that
trade talks with the Ravens were dead, left open the possibility of re-entering contract talks with McNair at some point. Owner Bud Adams, however, indicated earlier Sunday a decision might come sooner than later. "I'd say we might act pretty quick (on McNair) now that we've drafted Vince (Young)," Adams said.

In case you haven't been following along. ... McNair is scheduled to make $9 million in base salary in 2006 and count $23.46 million against the salary cap. The Titans want to lower those figures in a restructured contract, but haven't negotiated with McNair for weeks. McNair wants guarantees for future years, and the Titans aren't willing to make any. ... More as developments warrant.
