The Facts:
The 49ers have a renewed interest in Dilfer, whom they nearly traded for last year. One NFL source said the 49ers might have made an offer for Dilfer on Sunday if the Browns could have swung a deal for Lions QB Joey Harrington.

Cleveland apparently doesn't want to trade Dilfer unless they have a veteran replacement to compete with Charlie Frye. So at this point, the Niners interest could be moot.
