Brees has begun throwing in preparation for his new job as QB of the Saints. "I've been throwing for almost four weeks," Brees said.

In that the beginning of May was his target date to begin throwing following his shoulder surgery in January, Brees was told that must mean he remains ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation. He laughed and said with no small trace of sarcasm: "Only about a month. ..." That would be nice, but we'll continue to take a wait-and-see approach.
