Garner is likely lost for the season after tearing the patella tendon in his right knee during Sunday night's loss to the Oakland Raiders. "We lost a couple of key players," Jon Gruden said after the game. "We probably lost Charlie for the season." It wasn't immediately known whether Garner would need surgery.

Mike Alstott and Jamel White will player greater roles in Garner's absence, but Michael Pittman's return from suspension is certainly fortuitous. "I'm not going to make any projections about where we're going or what we're going to do," Gruden said. "Obviously, Pittman will become a key cog in what we're trying to get done."
