Graham is entering the final year of his rookie contract and as yet there has been no contact from the Patriots about extending his deal. "When they call, they'll call," Graham said. "Then we'll see what they're talking about."

More than one offensive lineman has said Graham is the best blocker on the team and when called upon, Graham has made big plays. But according to Globe staffer Jerome Solomon, the team's failure to communicate could be a sign that they have no interest in keeping him around after the 2006 season. The decision to draft TE David Thomas and H-back Garrett Mills last weekend further cloud the issue.
