The Facts:
Holmgren would like to continue coaching after 2006, and the Seahawks would like him to continue doing it for them. "I would like to, and I think they want me to, so we'll see," Holmgren said Thursday after the team's final practice of mini-camp. It marked the first time Holmgren has said he would like to keep coaching despite being asked about it several times since the end of the 2005 season.

According to those who follow the situation closely, it appears a deal will soon be worked out to keep the 57-year-old coach in Seattle. Holmgren's agent, Bob LaMonte, was in town to talk with team executives about a contract extension earlier this week. Holmgren's eight-year contract expires after the 2006 season.
