Krenzel was waived Monday by the Bengals, who have spent the offseason adding quarterbacks while Carson Palmer recovers from reconstructive knee surgery.

Cincinnati signed free-agent quarterbacks Anthony Wright and Doug Johnson to one-year contracts this offseason, knowing that Palmer might not be ready for the start of the season. Krenzel obviously didn't fit into the picture.
