According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, the Chiefs, still awaiting word on Holmes' medical status, could open the season with the veteran halfback on the "physically unable to perform" list -- even if his medical status has yet to resolved. Schefter added that Holmes is scheduled for further medical testing in late June or early July.
