Tatum Bell Looking For More Than 1B Status
(6/1 3:37 PT)

The Facts:
Already tired of serving as Denver's running back option 1B, Bell felt like he was running in place last month when off-season camps opened to the revelation that Ron Dayne had jumped from No. 3 running back to 1A in the Broncos' tailback rotation. "When I heard the news about Mike [Anderson] and then we didn't get another running back, I was like, 'Oh, yeah, it's on. That's all I need,'" Bell said. "Then comes the start of quarterback camp and Dayne goes with the first group and I'm like, 'Ahh, here we go again.'" Reported by the Denver Post

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In his quest to become the Broncos' primary ballcarrier, Bell's competition may not be Dayne but team officials who believe he's most effective as a 10-carry back. "I'm not saying that you don't want a No. 1 running back, so to speak," GM Ted Sundquist said last month. "But I think we'll still be an effective offense in a rotational system." In other words, it'll be business as usual this summer for Fantasy owners trying to get a solid feel for who Denver's most productive ball carrier might be this fall.
