In an effort to further ensure that depth will not be a problem at wide receiver next year, the Bucs on Friday signed Shepherd to a new contract. Shepherd, who filled in for injured Michael Clayton on several occasions last season, signed a one-year deal worth $425,000, according to figures obtained through the NFL Players Association.
