The Giants on Thursday signed former Saints tight end Boo Williams and waived tight end Matt Kranchick.

Williams missed the 2005 season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in a preseason game and was released by the Saints in February. During the four previous seasons with the Saints, he caught 107 passes for 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns. He appeared in 59 games and made 22 starts.
