Jerramy Stevens Might Not Practice Until Late August
(6/13 12:46 PT)

The Facts:
On Monday, Stevens was on the sidelines without crutches for the first time since April surgery to repair the torn meniscus in his left knee, an injury he attributed to "wear and tear." Stevens is not yet jogging, but is encouraged by his recent advance to walking without pain. "I have a long ways to go," Stevens said. "But the progress has been great. I've had no setbacks." Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Sounds like emphasis should be placed on the long ways to go. ... Trainers have told Stevens he is on schedule to return to practice in the third week of August. That would put his availability for the Sept. 11 season opener at Detroit in question. ... Meanwhile, veteran Itula Mili is currently bothered by a sore Achilles tendon and Ryan Hannam signed this offseason with Dallas. As a result, tight end is Seattle's most shallow position heading into training camp.
