The Facts:
We’re hesitant to make too big a deal of this, since training camp is six weeks away and the opener roughly three months hence, but Dillon looks like a guy who’s going to be handing off his running duties to rookie Laurence Maroney. Wearing braces on both knees, Dillon did not run or cut sharply. He rounded off many of his cuts and spent most of his free time on one knee.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The reporter here, John Tomase, is right not to make too big a deal of it, but it is interesting. Especially with rival paper the Boston Globe reporting that it's difficult to judge the running game in non-contact drills, but that teammates say Dillon looks good. ... Whatever the case, Dillon is older and coming off a poor season; Maroney is young, explosive and a first-round pick. We can expect plenty of speculation as to how hard Maroney is pushing throughout the summer. And of course, we'll try to keep up with that speculation throughout.
